TriStar Skyline Medical Center is Tennessee's first comprehensive stroke center and a national leader in neuroscience. The facility is equipped with 233 beds and offers a full array of acute care services, including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation and emergency services. As an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, TriStar Skyline is a leading provider of emergency heart care. There are more than 400 physicians on staff, many of whom have offices located right next door in the TriStar Skyline Medical Plaza.
In 2023, TriStar Skyline Medical Center received state-designation as a provisional level one trauma center. After serving as a level two trauma center for 10 years, TriStar Skyline receives highest ranking possible for trauma center to care for patients with extreme life-threatening injuries.

I've been so lucky to work in so many different areas of healthcare, from acute, outpatient, inpatient rehab and in pediatrics. All the combined areas have only helped me increase my passion and love for helping patients and their families achieve their best outcomes.

As a leader, I love growing and developing new nurses and young leaders. The leadership component is not really a large part of most nursing programs, so pulling that potential out of individuals and showing them the influence they have as a leader is meaningful to me.

Helping nurses grow is what I cherish most about my job. Med/Surg is an area of nursing where a nurse grows into one of two roles - critical care or leadership. I find it an honor to get to play a role in helping these nurses decide which path they want to take.
The 7th floor nurses are bold and passionate, but also sensitive and caring. They are some of the biggest advocators for not only patients, but also for all of the nurses in our hospital. Our tech team is truly the definition of teamwork.

The heart is such a fascinating organ. The technology is amazing that we can visualize the function and structures of the heart, and there is always something new to learn. I also truly enjoy the patient interaction. The patients often come to me feeling nervous or scared that they will receive bad news. I strive to make them feel calm and reassured that they are in good hands.
We are like a little family! Not only does our team take great care of our patients, but each other as well. Everyone is always checking in with each other to see who needs help. We are a busy department, and I am so grateful for everyone’s work ethic and dedication to high quality exams.
