Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point has been serving the community since 1981. We are a 290-bed acute care hospital and designated Level II Trauma Center located in Hudson, FL and home of the nationally acclaimed Heart Institute. We have more than 350 physicians, 1,300 colleagues and 500 volunteers on our integrated healthcare delivery team. We were the first hospital to be built in northwest Pasco County and also the first hospital to deliver a comprehensive cardiac and open heart program. Our quality programs have been recognized for excellence by US News & World Report, Thompson Reuters, UnitedHealth and the American Heart Association among others. We are designated as a Level II Trauma Center by the Florida Department of Health, and the only trauma center in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus Counties. Establishing the region’s only trauma center was a natural step in our mission to delivering high quality lifesaving care. Our medical staff is one of the finest in the state, and many of our physicians enjoy excellent reputations as being the most experienced practitioners in their field. We are home to a full Graduate Medical Education program in internal medicine, transitional year, and general surgery, all accredited by the ACGME.
Start your nursing career with a solid foundation and specialty training in acute care! The StaRN program is a paid Nurse Residency Program featuring didactic and clinical training. It allows new registered nurse graduates to obtain acute care nursing experience through intensive training and clinical preceptorship. At the completion of the StaRN program, our trained nurses transfer to the hospital for their unit orientation in their new full-time RN career!
