Student Experiences

At Mission Health, we encourage students to get involved with exploring health care professions throughout their academic career. We offer a variety of educational opportunities to let students experience the variety of health care careers while receiving hands-on experience and working closely with Mission Health professionals.

High School Students

It’s never too soon to start thinking about whether a healthcare career is right for you. Mission Health offers some innovative learning and volunteer opportunities for high school and other students to discover their passion. And the career opportunities aren’t just for clinical areas; there are roles at Mission Health in each of the 16 national career "clusters".

Pharmacy Residency 

Our 2 year pharmacy residency program in partnership with the University of North Carolina (UNC) Eshelman School of Pharmacy and Mountain Area Health Education Center, offers you the opportunity to practice in acute care, ambulatory care, emergency medicine and health-system pharmacy administration.

Nurse Residency

 

The New Graduate RN Residency Program offers year-long, full-time paid nursing positions. These give new nurses the opportunity to grow in their nursing practice and gain clinical experience across a variety of settings in a supportive environment that includes mentoring, professional development and peer support.
