Observation Opportunities

Observation lengths vary by department; however, they are generally one day or about 8 hours.

Due to high volume, please allow a MINIMUM of 2 weeks for processing time from the date you submit the request. You are NOT cleared to come observe until you have been cleared through the Education Services office and have received an official approval email from Education Services.

Employee Observations

Current Mission Health System Employees who are interested in learning more about new roles within Mission, or furthering their existing professional healthcare careers, should complete a Mission Health Employee Observation Request Form

Student/General Observations 

Students and other general observers not employed by Mission Health who are interested in learning more about health care careers or need observation hours as a requirement for applying to specific degree programs, should complete a General Observation Request Form

Non-Physician Professional Provider Observations

If you are a non-physician professional healthcare provider from another healthcare system looking to observe a specific program or procedure with the intent of taking that information back to your home healthcare location and instituting that program or procedure there, please submit your request to via email at  [email protected].

Professional Provider/Proctor Observations

For Physician observers or Physician proctors, please contact [email protected] in the Medical Staff Office for further assistance and processing of your request.
