At Medical City Healthcare, we're truly committed to the success of our nurses.

At Medical City Healthcare, we understand the challenges that a new nurse faces. Our evidence-based program includes blended learning, ongoing support, and trained preceptors to guide you.

  • Interns will be immersed in classroom work, simulation and preceptorship
  • Clinical experience begins week 1
  • Internship length depends on unit
  • After the completion of the internship you will roll into a residency program

Stipend Internship FAQs

Requirements
  • ADN required
  • BSN preferred or required by Magnet designated facilities
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • Passed NCLEX prior to start date

  • Critical Care (12 to 16 week internship)
  • Emergency Department (12 week internship)
  • L&D/Women’s Services (12 to 14 week internship)

About our Traditional Internship Program

We are committed to empowering nurses to enhance their skills and growing their careers with us.

Available to Registered Nurses looking to change specialty and advance their career or internal employees of Medical City Healthcare or HCA

  • Interns will be immersed in classroom work, simulation and preceptorship
  • Clinical experience begins week 1
  • Internship length depends on unit
  • After the completion on the internship you will roll into a residency program

Traditional Internship FAQs

Requirements
  • ADN required
  • BSN preferred or required by Magnet designated facilities
  • Must have TX RN License or Compact TX RN License
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • New Grad who is an Medical City Healthcare or HCA Employee
  • Nurses looking to change specialty must be a certified RN with at least 1 year of nursing experience
  • Once accepted in the internship you will go through the same classroom, simulation and clinical as the “Stipend Intern”
  • Internal employees must have completed their contract before being eligible for another internship
