HCA Houston Medical Center, a 444-bed acute care facility, is accredited by The Joint Commission and is recognized as an accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and an accredited Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Center. We are a boutique, surgical hospital with an emphasis on heart care and heart surgery. We also offer services related to emergency care, imaging, orthopedic care and bariatric surgery.

To help new graduate nurses gain the experience needed to begin work in specialty areas, HCA Gulf Coast Division has implemented StaRN, a Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses. This program focuses on Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Critical Care Nursing, Women’s Services, ER, OR, Cath Lab and Behavioral Health.
