HCA Florida West Hospital​ is a 515 bed facility and proud to be the area's leading health care facility in quality outcomes performance. West Hospital is also the area's first Accredited Chest Pain Center and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. West Hospital is also the first hospital in the state of Florida to have earned Atrial Fibrillation with Electrophysiology Services Accreditation. Our StaRN program is a 14-17 week paid Nurse Residency Program featuring didactic and specialty clinical training in acute care. The length of the program varies by the specialty that you are pursuing from Medical/Surgical, Telemetry/PCU/Stepdown, Oncology, Behavioral Health, Critical Care ICU, Emergency, and more. StaRN allows new registered nurse graduates to obtain acute care nursing experience through training and clinical preceptorship. At the completion of the program, our trained nurses transfer to the hospital for unit orientation in their new RN career!
