HCA Florida Putnam Hospital​ is a 99-bed acute care facility in Palatka, FL providing the latest technology with the assurance of our highly trained, caring colleagues to the residents of Putnam County. Our hospital serves North Central Florida with a full complement of quality healthcare services. We deliver everything from first-class, cutting-edge clinical research to individualized patient health solutions. Putnam Hospital offers an Intensive/Critical Care Unit, Step-Down Care Unit, Cardiac Cath Lab, medical and surgical units, family birthplace center, and a 24-hour emergency department. Our StaRN program is a 14-17 week paid Nurse Residency Program featuring didactic and specialty clinical training in acute care. The length of the program varies by the specialty that you are pursuing from Medical/Surgical, Telemetry/PCU/Stepdown, Oncology, Behavioral Health, Critical Care ICU, Emergency, and more. StaRN allows new registered nurse graduates to obtain acute care nursing experience through training and clinical preceptorship. At the completion of the program, our trained nurses transfer to the hospital for unit orientation in their new RN career!
