HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital has been designated as a Level II trauma facility, the first in the area! Our 221-bed acute care hospital has served our communities since 1982. We are the most comprehensive healthcare facility in west Volusia and Seminole counties, providing the only full-service cardiovascular program, including open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation and comprehensive diagnostic services. We have award winning cardiac and stroke programs. Our other specialized services include orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, wound care, acute inpatient medical rehabilitation, complete imaging services and brand new freestanding ER.

Our StaRN program is a 14-17 week paid Nurse Residency Program featuring didactic and specialty clinical training in acute care. The length of the program varies by the specialty that you are pursuing from Medical/Surgical, Telemetry/PCU/Stepdown, Oncology, Behavioral Health, Critical Care ICU, Emergency, and more. StaRN allows new registered nurse graduates to obtain acute care nursing experience through training and clinical preceptorship. At the completion of the program, our trained nurses transfer to the hospital for unit orientation in their new RN career!
