POSITION SUMMARY: The mammographer serves to ensure quality diagnostic imaging mammography services. The mammographer independently obtains and assesses required images, evaluates completed mammographic films, and reports all clinical information to the Radiologist. The mammographer cooperates and coordinates with all members of the Diagnostic Imaging Department as necessary for the provision of quality patient care and can be asked to cover Radiology services when required. The mammographer is responsible for the Quality Control MSQA documentation, record maintenance, and patient report communication.

Associate Degree or equivalent in Radiological Technology required
MQSA compliance required
ARRT registry required 
ARRT(M) registry required within one year of hire 
State of Florida General Radiographer license required 
BLS required
Knowledge of breast anatomy, needle biopsy procedures, and complete mammographic positioning skills preferred
