Primary Duties

The Lead Interventional Radiology Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the diagnostic Imaging patient. The Lead Interventional Radiology Nurse will supervise and evaluate subordinate personnel under the support of the Diagnostic Imaging Manager and Director. 

  • Provides leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience. Instills accountability for providing consistent, positive patient interactions that differentiate the organization as a healthcare leader
  • Reviews various feedback mechanisms and helps identify opportunities to improve customer/patient satisfaction. Supports the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient experience.
  • Identifies development opportunities or training needs of individual employees and teams. Provides coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance
  • Implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual patients
  • Maintains and coordinates daily workflow processes including but not limited to: working up in-patients, out-patients, scheduling procedures, ensuring patient care is maintained in a timely manner
  • Participate in Diagnostic Imaging specific initiatives and process improvement
  • Promote a supportive Diagnostic Imaging environment
  • Assists with moderate sedation and monitoring of patients.
  • Provide supervision of assigned employees
  • Maintain high quality (age specific) care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, as assigned
  • Support the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization.

 

Qualifications

  • $5000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants!!
  • Currently RN license in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation.
  • State of Florida license or appropriate compact licensure.  If Florida is not the primary State on the multi-state license must establish Florida as primary on license within 90 days of hire or within 90 days of establishing residency in Florida (whichever is sooner).
  • Minimum 1 -2 years Charge RN or supervisor experience
  • Radiology &/or Specials experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient and experience in conscious sedation
  • Critical Care experience considered
  • Current ACLS and BLS Provider through American Heart Association
