POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides care for patients requiring Nuclear Cardiology procedures.Performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and some therapeutic purposes in accordance with ALARA standards. Operates equipment utilized to measure radiation, produce images, quantify physiologic responses, and relay images and measurements to the physician for interpretation. Employs practices and techniques to ensure the safe handling of radioactive materials, especially when dosing patients with radiopharmaceuticals (both orally and intravenously) as prescribed and authorized by the responsible licensed physician.

Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
Preferred: 1 year related experience
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Required: State of Florida
HRS Licensure as a “Nuclear Medicine Technologist”; ARRT (NM) or NMTCB Certification/Registry;
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
