HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital offering a full range of services. The Special Procedures / Interventional Radiology Tech works under the direction of the Imaging Director, and performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures that may apply ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology in patients. Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray film and or digital receptors, completes the appropriate paperwork and computer applications, organizes and prepare the images for interpretation by the Radiologist. Operates equipment safely and maintains ALARA standards while performing all types of procedures within the scope of the Special Procedure Technologist profession.
Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers.
