Stroke Coordinator (Registered Nurse)
SCHEDULE: Full-time, Days, M-F

$7,500 sign-on bonus available for eligible new hires!

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Stroke Coordinator functions in the role of expert clinician, consultant, researcher and educator. Applies advanced nursing process skills providing clinical expertise, leadership, and staff development for defined patient populations in support of facility goals dedicated to excellence, effective leadership, and financial stability. In doing so, plans, organizes and implements continuity of stroke/chest pain care to include involvement in continuous process improvement; patient, public, professional education; protocol development; database management. Serve as liaison between stroke/chest pain-cardiac service and other hospital departments. Fosters and maintains positive relationships among patients, nursing staff/departments, physicians and administration to ensure appropriate design and promotion of programs. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred

Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required; or appropriate multi-state licensure

BLS (AHA) provider required

Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience required

Previous Stroke Coordinator or Neuro experience desired
