Job Description:

The Sterile Processing Technician provides the entire facility decontamination and sterilization services. He/she prepares and maintains all instruments utilized by the Operating Room, The Emergency Department, and Radiology Department and all nursing care units throughout the facility. This is accomplished while maintaining the highest possible standards in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the facility, and AORN. Inherent in this position is producing work of the caliber that meets the standards of compliance of accreditation and regulatory bodies regarding supply processing and sterilization.
