Serving the healthcare needs of Manatee County for more than 40 years, HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383-bed, tertiary hospital nationally recognized as a leading provider of quality healthcare. We are proud to be the only state-designated Level II Trauma Center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties, and we have received official verification by the American College of Surgeons. In addition to the area’s only Trauma Center, we offer a wide range of services including 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation. Our Progressive Care Unit is a 42 bed unit. Our PCU nurses provide care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment, but who aren't unstable enough to need ICU care. The PCU nurses monitor cardiac and other critical vital signs and detect any changes, thereby enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situations.

· Nursing Diploma or ASN required, BSN preferred
· Current Florida State RN license or compact state RN license
· Current BLS through American Heart Association required
· Current ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire
· Minimum one year RN experience preferred but not required
· Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
· Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
