We are seeking a Medical Technologist for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Job Summary:

 

  • You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.

  • You will handle Specimen processing, pre-analytic inspection of specimens for identification and integrity.

  • You will perform various types of laboratory test(s) on patient specimens, evaluates test results, and report/enter/verify test results in Laboratory Information System.

  • You will perform and evaluates periodic quality control per policy and procedure.

  • You will evaluate new and/or modified procedures, reagents and instruments as directed by Section Coordinator.

  • You will communicate laboratory test knowledge and test results in a professional and appropriate manner.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a NCCLS accredited Medical Technologist program,  Bachelor’s prepared (Associates if grandfather clause is applicable
  • TN State Clinical Lab Technician. MT (ASCP) required.
  • Hospital laboratory experience preferred.
