For nearly 35 years, Centennial Medical Plaza, a campus of The Medical Center of Aurora, has provided high quality emergency care. We are growing to meet the needs of our community and opened a full service, 20 bed hospital in the spring of 2021.

We are seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Here is some of what you can expect from being an ER Registered Nurse:

The Emergency Department RN oversees and directs the care of all patients presenting to Emergency Department.  Serves as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.  Oversees and directs the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients.  Within the first year the RN will have gained basic emergency and emergency department pathways, knowledge and skill sets.  When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications Needed for this role:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  1. Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license;
  2. ACLS, BLS, and PALS are all REQUIRED Upon hire, must be from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  3. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) Certification required
  4. TNCC and ENPC required

Education:   Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN Preferred. Activity in professional organizations encouraged. 

Experience:   One-year experience in emergent care preferred. 

Special Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members.  Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.  Strong critical thinking skills.
