Please apply here if you are interested in joining the next Eckerd Living Center CNA Training Program cohort beginning July 10th, 2023 in the Highlands/Cashiers, North Carolina.

The cohort lasts for 6 weeks and you cannot miss any classes. Afterwards you are ready to take the NC NA tests and obtain your license. You can then begin working at any HCA facility as a PCT with a $1,000 sign on bonus in your first paycheck as a full-time PCT at Eckerd Living Center.

You will go through the class as a Companion – ELC and be paid during the course. The Companion provides help for the client with everyday tasks that allows for independent living without providing hands-on care. The Companion participates in a week work responsibility. The Companion demonstrates ability to assist with activities of daily living without hands on care as well as unrestricted bending, squatting and lifting.

What qualifications you will need:

  • High School Graduate / GED

Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is a community hospital serving Macon, Jackson and the surrounding counties. Located between the towns of Highlands and Cashiers, the hospital offers 24/7 emergency care, acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, as well as long-term care through Eckerd Living Center. Ambulatory services are also available, including therapy services and primary care. Highlands-Cashiers Hospital has more than 24 beds for acute care services and 80+ beds in the Eckerd Living Center.
