We are currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated RN to join our NICU Unit.

 

As a Registered Nurse in NICU, you are directly responsible for monitoring vitals, administering medications and nutrients, and providing care to newborns. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

 

  • You will work in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team to provide the necessary medical care to new born infants
  • You will provide round-the-clock care to premature and severely ill newborn infants
  • You will have working knowledge of the complex NICU equipment used to treat at-risk newborns
  • You will perform life-sustaining care
  • You will ensure that infants are breathing and maturing properly
  • You will communicate with and educate parents on a day-to-day operations as well as home-care procedures

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school ofNursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required

  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in thestate which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license

  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) orAmerican Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required

  • NRPwithin 6 months of hire. STABLE certification preferred.

  • Priorexperience (1-2 years Med-Surg/OB/NICU) in a similar size facility with similarservices provided is required.

 

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is a 350 plusbed HCA Healthcare facility located near the Georgia-South Carolina stateborder. Doctors Hospital is well known for its Joseph M. Still Burn Center, thelargest burn center in the country, which sees more than 3,000 patientsannually. In addition, the burn center was granted a special burn designationas part of the Georgia Trauma Care Network. This designation included arigorous review program administered by the American Burn Association (ABA) andthe American College of Surgeons (ACA). Doctors Hospital is certified as aPrimary Stroke Center, as well as an Accredited Chest Pain Center and isdesignated a Center of Excellence in Women’s Health Surgery. At Doctors Hospital, we have a highlytrained team to care for serious emergencies. As an ACS Verified Level IITrauma Center, our ER team is ready 24-hour a day to take care ofcritically ill or injured patients. Fully-staffed 24/7 with board-certifiedtrauma surgeons and a team of experienced professionals, life-saving surgery isavailable within minutes of arrival. Patients are cared for in two dedicatedtrauma bays in our Emergency Department.
