As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) you will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Executive VP/Chief Administrative Officer, and Chief Academic Officer to drive culture and provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve College growth objectives in supporting nursing workforce needs. You will serve as a member of the CEO’s Cabinet and have primary responsibility for the College’s Campus Operations, Centralized Operations and Regulatory Affairs, Enrollment, Human Resources, and the Galen Center for Professional Development (GCPD).

What you will do in this role:

• Operationalize and support "Building the Lamp", ensure alignment around culture, and drive the vision of a world-class experience for all Galen students.
• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to campus operations including existing and online campuses, as well as launch new campuses through a scalable, regional support model to ensure operational excellence, efficiency, and best-in-class student experience.
• As a key member of the New Location Operations Council, ensure effective campus design, construction, regulatory approvals, student recruitment and enrollment, staffing, and post-implementation support, monitoring and success.
• Cultivate relationships and collaborate across multiple HCA Healthcare stakeholders including Clinical Operations Group, Information Technology Group, Human Resources Group, Center for Clinical Advancement, HealthTrust Workforce Solutions and Division and Hospital Nursing to support growth and expansion in new markets to drive nursing pipeline for HCA Healthcare facilities
• Build a culture of continual process improvement, identify, analyze, and execute on opportunities to drive efficiencies and improve student and/or colleague experience through comprehensive process improvements, leveraging HCA Healthcare scale and expertise, and implement of innovative technologies and solutions.
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight to Human Resources to ensure recruitment, onboarding, talent/leadership development, total rewards/recognition, and organizational design are optimized to achieve growth, culture, and student and colleague experience objectives.
• Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction to the VP of Enrollment Management, create, manage, and implement initiatives and operating processes designed to meet and exceed new student enrollment goals while always maintaining the Galen core values.
• Work with architects, designers, and construction, in collaboration with both the academic and administrative teams, to create inspiring learning environments.
• Collaborate with Chief Strategy Officer to select and implement expansion into new markets.
• Contribute to the development and provide leadership in implementation of Galen College of Nursing’s strategic plan.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in a senior leadership role required
• Experience in leading multiple functional areas within an organization preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
