The Patient Transport Coordinator is responsible for coordination of daily workflow and for overseeing that transport jobs are completed timely in the absence of the Transport Supervisor. Communication between departments as well as nurses is key for a well-run department.
We are seeking a Patient Transport Coordinator for a Friday-Sunday 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM shift.
What you will do in this role:
· You will be responsible for oversight of how the shift operations run including, but not limited to, re-prioritizing jobs in PATRA as well as trouble-shooting system issues.
· You will ensure that all stretchers and wheelchairs are returned to correct location, O2 tanks are full and maintained appropriately as well as transporting patients from one area to another via wheelchair, stretcher, or ambulating.
· You will be responsible for transporting items with patient or separately such as oxygen or IV stands.
· Other duties include, but are not limited to, clerical, scheduling, ordering supplies, inventory, cleaning, and all other duties deemed necessary by the Medical Imaging Management Team.
Position Requirements:
Education: High School diploma, basic computer skills
Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS certification on hire American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience: Six months of prior leadership experience in a healthcare or customer service role preferred. Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of the patient/internal and external customer
