What you will do in this role:

  • Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Cardiac Cath Lab patient pre-, intra- and post-procedure.
  • Assist physicians in operative procedures.
  • Maintain and review patient records including posting tests and examination results
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders

Qualifications

Education

  • Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
Licensing/Certifications
  • Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire. 
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association required.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred - required within 6 months of hire.
  • Current PCCN (Progressive Care Certified RN), CCRN (Certified Critical Care RN) or RN-BC (CV) preferred - required within 6 months of certification eligibility.
Qualifications
  • Prior acute care experience highly preferred.
  • Prior Cardiac Cath Lab experience highly preferred.
  • Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
