SCHEDULE: Part-time


UCF Lake Nona Hospital, located in the southern Orlando suburb of Lake Nona, which is known as Medical City, is a 64-bed partnership facility owned by HCA Healthcare and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.  It’s a teaching hospital in Central Florida and opened in early 2021.

UCF Lake Nona Hospital is located immediately adjacent to the UCF College of Medicine.  It is just minutes from the Orlando International Airport and is easily accessible from major roads including Florida’s Turnpike, State Road 417, and the East-West Expressway.

               We are seeking a RESPIRATORY CARE ASSISTANT to join team!

Position Summary:

The Respiratory Therapy Assistant is an equipment and inventory technician who cleans, monitors, and maintains routine respiratory care equipment throughout the hospital, including stocking medical oxygen supplies and gases.  You are expected to smile!

 

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Enrolled for credit in an approved Respiratory Care education program.

Experience:

  • 6 Months Previous Experience Preferred

Licensure:

  • BLS Required

Skills:

  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

Special Qualifications: Knowledge of respiratory principals and procedures, hospital supplies, and hospital routines preferred.
