Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary: In collaboration with the Director of Laboratory and Respiratory, the Manager will assist with the various tasks within the respiratory and sleep departments to ensure appropriate day-to-day function, quality patient care, regulatory compliance and employee education and performance management. Approximately 50% of the Manager’s time will involve delivery of direct patient care.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains current knowledge in respiratory care practices and assists with staffing as needed
  • Manages the department’s operations and resources to achieve quality, financial, growth, productivity and satisfaction objectives for overall success and growth
  • Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services and other relevant compliance, quality and safety standards; ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures
  • Facilitates relationships and teamwork with providers, staff and physicians
  • Promotes internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Builds and promotes a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement
  • Leads development of policies, procedures and production and quality targets to ensure effective and efficient service, quality patient care and compliance with standards of the hospital, external licensing, accreditation and regulatory bodies
  • Establishes department educational goals; provides training opportunities and ensures that staff meet continuing education requirements for licensure, registration and accreditation

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Respiratory Care with an active license to practice in New Hampshire
  • RRT or CRT with National Board of Respiratory Care required
  • American Heart Association BCLS and ACLS required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of respiratory care procedures, techniques and equipment, including operation and repair

Experience:

  • Minimum three to five years acute care experience with one to two years supervisory experience
  • Previous Sleep Lab experience preferred
