LewisGale Medical Center (LGMC) delivers quality care to our patients located in the beautiful mountainous region of Southwest Virginia. SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

Assembles, installs, repairs minor electrical and mechanical equipment.
Repairs furniture, beds, chairs, light fixtures, etc.
Repairs and maintains plumbing fixtures.
Replaces faulty switches, cords, plugs, and receptacles.
Performs assigned areas of responsibilities and other duties as required.
Requests and stocks necessary repair parts.
Demonstrates ability to perform all duties of the Mechanic I position and able to perform other technical duties with minimal or no supervision.
Demonstrates ability to perform all duties of the Mechanic II position and has obtained a Master Plumber or Master Electrical License or State certification in HVAC refrigerant use.

EXPERIENCE:

Five (5) or more years of maintenance or trade experience (required)
Prior experience in a hospital environment (preferred)

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

State Certification in HVAC refrigerant usage or Master Plumber or Electrician (required)

HOURS:

Full-Time
