Job duties include:

Demonstrates clinical expertise in creating and maintaining a sterile field
Plans and provides equipment and supplies based on procedure and physician needs.
Demonstrates clinical expertise in assisting physician as it relates to specific procedures.
Promotes cost containment while delivering quality patient care.
Participates in on-call assignments and demonstrates flexibility to cover staffing as needed.
Demonstrates flexibility to perform other functions within the Cath Lab and in the Holding Area to assist in the smooth operation of the department.
Analyzes pertinent data, communicates findings and documents information appropriately.
Actively looks at improving patient care and process improvement.
Pursues own professional growth through continuing education and in services.
Adheres to hospital policies and procedures; supports the mission of the hospital.
Administers all medications/conscious sedation. Documents according to policies and procedures.
Maintains a safe working environment to include radiation safety/appropriate personal protection attire.
Communicates effectively with peers, managers, ancillary departments and other customers.

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
