Job duties include, but are not limited to:

The RN/LPN Staff Nurse will be part of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Interdisciplinary team, and provide high-quality, evidenced based, patient centered care while enjoying a 1:6 nurse/patient ratio. Working closely with the Medical Director, Hospitalist and therapy team, the ideal candidate will display exceptional clinical skills while providing compassionate patient care, promote teamwork and accountability, and model a commitment to HCA’s mission/vision/values of “Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.” Licensed as an RN/LPN in the state of Virginia. Experience in Rehabilitation Nursing preferred, but willing to train the right individual. Staff nurses enjoy a 3 day work week (12 hour shifts) with weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

Our Inpatient Rehab

Our goal is to help patients recover and live as independently as possible. Our rehabilitation professionals offer 24-hour inpatient therapeutic care to patients recovering from several types of conditions and injuries, including amputation, spinal cord injuries and multiple sclerosis. We offer Interdisciplinary collaboration with family, Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Case Management, and Physicians.

Additional Information about our Inpatient Physical Rehab Unit:

  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with family, occupational therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Case Management, and Physicians
  • 35-Bed Inpatient Physical Rehab Unit
  • Nurse to patient ratios based on acuity
  • Gain experience with Neurological Diagnosis such as Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Spinal Disorders, and others
  • Conducts Daily Interdisciplinary Rounds
  • Part of LGMC Shared Governance councils
  • A supportive environment focused on fostering educational opportunities and specialty certification (i.e. Certified Rehab Registered Nurse)
  • New leaders with a passion for supporting nurses in reaching their professional goals, excellent practice, and collegial relationships

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
  • Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
  • BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
 
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  • Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
