Cardiac Sonographers perform echocardiograms, or ultrasound imaging, to evaluate different aspects of the heart, such as chamber size, valve function, and blood flow. While Cardiac Sonographers do not themselves diagnose patients, they work with physicians in doing so or may assist in other diagnostic procedures.
Qualifications
What Qualifications You Will Need:
Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program. 5 years’ experience in Sonography AND required licensure upon hire may be substituted for graduation from an accredited program
American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS required upon Hire. Certification with ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) recommended upon hire and required within one year of hire
One year experience preferred
