Here is some of what you can expect from being a Secretary with us:

 

 

Performs clerical and receptionist duties in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Rose Medical Center. The Unit Secretary displays positive support for the mission and values of RMC.  The Unit Secretary is the resource person for mom/baby Clinic staff.  The Unit Secretary is responsible for monitoring clinic supplies and initiating the order process on a weekly basis in collaboration with the department director or as needed. The Unit Secretary is responsible for reconciling the monthly recurring patient log.  The Unit Secretary assists with departmental statistical reports. The Unit Secretary performs all insurance verification and authorizations and coordinates registration process for the department.  The Unit Secretary is responsible for the daily scheduling of patient appointments.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications you will need for this role:

 

  • Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross

  • Graduate of Unit Secretary or medical terminology course preferred

  • Minimum 5 years acute care, unit Secretary Experience required

  • Experience with computers (Meditech, Logicare, Outlook, and Kronos) and medical terminology required

  • Inventory and ordering skills required
