Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do:

  •  Provide administrative support including typing, composing and proofreading correspondence, indexing and filing documents 
  •  Answer inquiries or refer callers/visitors to appropriate individual with follow up as necessary
  •  Maintain constant contact/communication with higher level management, executives, Sarah Cannon colleagues, and outside contacts to ensure processes are followed, maintained, and follow up as needed to see project to completion 
  • Maintain timesheets and expense reports  
  • Make travel arrangements
  •  Ensure adequacy of office supplies and equipment 
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and calendars for directors 
  • Compile reports from data and existing records 
  •  Prepare meeting agendas/reports/presentations; attends meetings as assigned and reports on actions 
  • May transcribe scientific protocols, manuscripts, abstracts, and other medical information and correspondence as needed  

What qualifications you will need:

    • Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience required
    • 3 years minimum of secretarial or equivalent experience preferred
    •  Skill in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
