The rehab aide will performs routine patient related activities as assigned by the therapist.

  • Anticipates therapist needs and assists with equipment needs. Ensures patients are prepared for therapy and adheres to patient specific needs.
  • Demonstrates proactive and effective communication with patients and therapists. Immediately reports changes in patient status, behaviors and other pertinent information to the therapist or nursing staff.
  • Provides organization and maintenance of treatment equipment and supplies. Notifies designee of unsafe and ineffective equipment. Monitors and stocks supplies at par levels.
  • Acts as transport liaison for patients to and from scheduled treatment sessions and group activities in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications include:


• Minimum of a High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting .
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Required.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Computer literacy is preferred.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching and some lifting.
