Here is some of what you can expect from being a Medical Technologist Dept Coordinator with us:

  • You will manage the daily activities of the departments and perform technical and sophisticated testing procedures to obtain timely and accurate clinical data

  • You will be responsible for monitoring actions, of personnel, staffing measures, providing quality service and ensuring compliance with CAP, JCAHO, and CLIA standards

  • You will provide technical assistance and training of laboratory personnel

  • You will ensure validity and accuracy of test results by review of result logs, QC, PI, and worksheets where applicable

  • You will be familiar with the various services available in the hospital and their interactions with the laboratory

  • You will continually strive to improve leadership skills, training skills and technological skills, and knowledge through formal and informal education

  • You will coordinate employee coaching and evaluations as seen appropriate in conjunction with other various assigned duties

 

Qualifications you will need for this role:

  • ASCP certification or equivalent required in all technical areas of the lab

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in related science

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the field of Medical Technology
