Job Summary and Qualifications
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the licensed nurse, performs basic nursing care and personal care activities to patients according to their scope of practice, identified by the North Carolina Nurse Aide I or II Registry; unless the skill or task is not allowed for practice by a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mission Hospitals.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent; completion of CNA+4 training within 90 days of hire
REQUIRED LICENSE: Must have and maintain current listing with Division of Facility Services as NA-I or II. Must have and maintain current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Hospital or Nursing Home
Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is a community hospital serving Macon, Jackson and the surrounding counties. Located between the towns of Highlands and Cashiers, the hospital offers 24/7 emergency care, acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, as well as long-term care through Eckerd Living Center. Ambulatory services are also available, including therapy services and primary care. Highlands-Cashiers Hospital has more than 24 beds for acute care services and 80+ beds in the Eckerd Living Center. Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is a member of Mission Health, an operating division of HCA Healthcare.
