Schedule: Full time - Days (Rotating Weekends)
Location: Medical City Green Oaks Hospital

Seeking a Staff LVN for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. GENERAL SUMMARY:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide quality patient care appropriate to the age of the population of patients served. 
 
In this role you will: 

  • Accepts direction and supervision from RN and seeks guidance as needed in performance of duties
  • Gathers data and documents data during the assessment process
  • Communicates with physician, RN, and other team members regarding progress and needs of patient
  • Intervenes with patient as guided by the treatment plan
  • Collaborates with other team members in development and implementation of patient activities
  • Educates patients in medication, illness, and other health needs
  • Administers and documents medications per policy
  • Evaluates and documents patient responses
  • Participates in codes to protect the patient from harming self or others
  • Adheres to hospital polices and procedures
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct
  • Conduct reflects the Company’s values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct
  • Performs other duties as requested or required

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Current Texas State Vocational Nurse Licensure
  • Current BLS and SAMA certification or attainment during the orientation period
  • Prefer at least 2 years of nursing experience to include 1 year in a psychiatric setting
  • Experience or education consistent with the population that the program serves – (may receive training at facility in lieu of age specific education or experience)
