Certified Respiratory Therapists are a committed, caring group of colleagues with a passion for creating positive patient interactions. They are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others. Respiratory Therapists are passionate about delivering superior, patient-centered care and committed to caring for patients with purpose and integrity.
1. Responds to all CRT'S and support teams as appropriate.
2. Performs CPR on neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as required.
3. Administers medication and oxygen therapy in accordance with the physician’s order and
departmental policies and procedures.
4. Receives work assignments and prioritize workload effectively to maximize number of
procedures performed. Completes all assigned work within specified time frame.
5. When discontinuing therapy, discards disposable supplies and brings equipment to
department for further decontamination by end of shift.
6. Performs pulmonary function and bronchoscopy according to department protocol.
7. Demonstrates knowledge of the specific conditions, diseases, and treatment therapies for
the specific patient population of the department.
8. Utilizes restraints according to organizational wide policies.
9. Evaluates patient’s response to the therapies. Communicates to members of the health
care team and implements necessary changes to care.
Graduate of an accredited program of Respiratory Therapy.
BLS certification required.
Two years of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred
