Oversees completion of unit specific administrative tasks (e.g. Kronos, narcotic counts, census logs, ED Dashboard Outlier report)
Responsible for interviewing and hiring in conjunction with the department director
Assists Department Director in directing nursing units and programs 24 hours/7 days a week.
Implements corrective actions and conducts performance evaluations in conjunction with Department Director
Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and nursing services, analyzing appropriate internal and external data and information to identify opportunities in collaboration with stakeholders for improving services and patient outcomes.

Education: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing required, Bachelor’s degree required
Licensure/Certifications: Must hold a current license from the Kentucky Board of Nursing. BLS required upon hire. ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC required. CEN within 6 months of hire, CPEN preferred
Experience: A minimum of three years clinical experience. Previous management experience preferred; Progressive nursing leadership experience demonstrating solid management is necessary for this nursing position. The clinical nurse coordinator should have the ability to carry out all responsibilities in a thorough and timely manner. Demonstrates expertise in area of clinical specialization. Excellent communication (verbal, written), interpersonal, organizational, leadership, exceptional interpersonal relations and problem solving skills required.
