The Clinical Operations Group (COG) is responsible for HCA’s clinical and quality agenda. The Clinical Informatics (CI) Operations team manages and optimizes the usage and content of our enterprise EHR platforms across our various vendors, versions, and all acute care facilities. The CI Operations Manager manages the technical and clinical content change control activities associated with clinical information tools and processes. The manager is also responsible for overseeing clinical operations coordination and implementation activities for functionality deployments (e.g. vendor system enhancements, upgrades, software releases, etc.) and execution of the EHR alignment commitment.
·Responsible for enterprise Clinical Informatics Change Control activities, including execution of enterprise Change Control Board meetings, workflow management technologies, throughput processes, resource allocation, etc.
·Evaluate the effectiveness of Change Control processes, communications, and collateral through metrics, reporting, etc. and implement changes as identified
·Serve as point of escalation for issues outside the scope of coordinators or analysts
·Set appropriate SLAs for Change Control team through evaluation of operating reports
·Develop team accountability by managing timely delivery of commitments and milestone achievements, and modeling accuracy, quality, and commitment to customer service
·Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
·Partner with CI Director of Operations to identify and apply opportunities to optimize the processes, communications, technologies, and training that support EHRO operational processes
·Createoperating frameworks to routinely monitor EHRO services, change control performance, and meet the strategic needs of the organization
·Collaborate with EHRO leaders in the operational planning and execution of enterprise EHR content releases
·Execute operational and support protocols, policies, procedures and quality metrics throughout all cycles of operations and optimization
·Facilitate impact analysis for the EHR releases and the alignment of capabilities across various EHRs through platform synchronization efforts
·Coordinate communication and training to the field and product teams around EHRO operational deliverables
·Act as a liaison for the COG EHRO officewith multiple departments throughout HCA and vendors outside of HCA
·Integratechange control activities into the project plans for new service lines/clinical teams as appropriate, overseeing the successful long term operationalization of clinical informatics capabilities/initiatives
Education and Experience
Degree in Health or Business Administration preferred (e.g. MHA, MBA)
Proven success in improving operational efficiencies/workflow management
