Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Rehabilitation Assistant at our facility you will find out what it truly means to be a part of a collaborative team where diversity and inclusion thrive. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. Join us in our efforts to better our community! In this role: 

  • Responsible for general office operations, including client reception, assist with billing, scheduling, record keeping, supply and equipment maintenance, and general correspondence.
  • Acts as a technical assistant by prepping and monitoring patients during supervised exercise and by responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Provides such treatment in compliance with the hospital and Rehabilitation department Policies and Procedures.
  • Supports the hospital and department at all times participating in the Rehabilitation Department’s Performance Improvement Plan and the Hospital’s commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement.
  • Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving Rehabilitation knowledge and skills.

    What qualifications you will need:

    • Professional office experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
    • Experience with ReDoc/Meditech is preferred.
    • Must understand outpatient therapy needs.
    • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
