UCF Lake Nona Medical Center (UCFLNMC) is located in the southern Orlando suburb of Lake Nona, which is known as Medical City. UCFLNMC is a partnership facility owned by HCA Healthcare and the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.  It will be the first teaching hospital in Central Florida.  Construction began in October 2018. Slated to open in early 2021, the 204,079-square-foot, 64-bed facility is expected to create more than 300 jobs when it opens early 2021. 
 
UCFLNMC will be located immediately adjacent to the UCF College of Medicine. It will be just minutes from the Orlando International Airport and will be easily accessible from major roads including Florida’s Turnpike, State Road 417 and the East-West Expressway.

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying computerized ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology.  Operates the CT equipment safely and maintains A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing all types of procedures. Is current in Radiologic (X-ray) positioning and can perform X-rays in ER and department when asked. Participates in the establishment of scan protocols and in execution of specific applications, and responsible for contrast administration. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Position requires Call.

Qualifications

Education:
Vocational/Technical Degree

License/Certification:
ARRT (R) (CT)
Florida License as a Radiology Technologist
BLS or BLS/ACLS Instructor

Experience:
1 - 3 years
