Trauma Coordinator Registered Nurse
Full Time Days/Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
Occasional weekend day for special events/training
 
We are seeking a Trauma Coordinator RN to join the Medical City Arlington Team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care.  We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenominal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. 
 
 In collaboartion with the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Trauma Services, and Emergency Services Leadership, the Trauma Coordinator RN will coordinate the activities of the hospitals trauma program.  They will work to identify injured patients, monitoring provisions of service, facilitating, communicating, and multi-tasking with individual practitioners for optimal patient outcomes.  They will participate in local and regional trauma committees, representing MC Arlington's Trauma Program, serve as a clincal nurse resource, assist with the education of the staff, data collection, entry, and the monitoring of patient care and data.  The Trauma Coordinator will also meet with MCA EMS Liaison and local EMS systems to create effective communication and team building to benefit patient care.  Direct patient care is required as well as adherence to MCAs mission, vision, and values and department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

*  Current TX State RN license or compact license is accepted

*  Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association required

*  Must obtain TNCC, PALS issued by the American Heart Association (or ENPC) and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire.

*  Trauma Outcomes Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC) must be completed within 12 months of hire

*  Member of the Texas Trauma Coordinators Forum and Society of Trauma Nurses preferred

*  Minimum 3 years experience in an ED or Critical Care setting
