The Injury Prevention Coordinator RN will help coordinate injury prevention activities based on statistical data and the community needs. They willl work closely with the Trauma Director to identify injured patients, monitoring provisions of service, facilitating, communicating, and multi-tasking with individual practitioners for optimal patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. They will serve as a clinical resource, assist with the education of the staff, data collection, entry, monitoriing of patient care, and performance improvement programs. This clinician will also promote, advocate,and support the nursing staff's committment to protect the health, safety, and rights of the individual.

What you need to be successful:
- BSN required
- Texas RN license or compact license is accepted
- Trauma Outcomes Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC) must be completed within 12 months of hire
- Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
- Must obtain TNCC, PALS issued by the American Heart Association (or ENPC) and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire
- Must have 3-5 years nursing experience in an ED or Critical Care setting
- Injury Prevention experience highly preferred
- Knowledge of windows, power point, excel, and public speaking required
