Supervises daily operations of CPS production area, both daytime, night shift and or third shifts.  Hires, trains, develops staff. Produces finished goods for CPS to established production schedules, designs, and established quality standards. Implements and enforces “best practices” of co-workers to surgical “kitting” industry. Ensures raw materials used for production are within ROi compliance standards. Ensures proper handling of materials to minimize scrap losses. Plans for optimum labor utilization by scheduling and planning of available shop orders awaiting production. This position involves direct interaction with operations executives, department directors, inventory control personnel, group purchasing managers, clinical consultants, external suppliers/vendors and supply chain co-workers related to CPS operations. Direct management of co-workers will be required of this position.

What you will do in this role:

  • Develops co-worker relationships to produce to standards and expectations for quality, design, efficiency, customer satisfaction and standardization.
  • Works with operations managers and department leadership and staff, group purchasing, performance consulting so that clinical acceptance and manufacturing quality standards are achieved.
  • Utilize communication skills to lead, train, develop and mentor co-workers to maximize CPS manufacturing quality and production efficiency. 
  • Work with group purchasing contract managers and performance consulting coworkers to help develop strategic work plan for CPT component selection for price, quality and standardization in relation to customer feedback related to these products.
  • Works with Material Planner, supply chain, and purchasing coworkers to develop daily work schedule for CPS production.
  • Works with QA co-workers to develop trending analysis of defects and identifies opportunities for improvement. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, some college preferred
  • Five years of progressive production management, inventory management and/or production planning a plus.
  • Some travel required, 10% of the time.
