The Lead Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for:

  • Mastery in Utility Plant Operations, troubleshooting and repairs of heavy machinery including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air compressors, emergency generators, pumps, etc.
  • Operates, troubleshoots and makes minor repairs to building automation systems, fire alarm systems and pneumatic tube systems.
  • Mastery in response to all plant machinery and/or system casualties and immediate restoration of services.
  • Records operating data on plant logs to identify potential problems and to document equipment operating conditions and all events related to operation of the plants.
  • Mastery in the performance of scheduled preventative maintenance for plant machinery and systems.

 


     

Qualifications

  • Technical or Vocational Diploma, or equivalent education and experience in a related field in lieu of a Diploma.
  • Five years related experience with at least three years in a healthcare setting.
  • Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Certification or Journeyman’s license in an engineering is required.
    • Ten (10) years’ experience in a commercial Central Utility Plant (CUP) or a Technical Associate’s Degree may be substituted for the requirement of certifications and license.
