As a key member of the creative services team, the manager of creative portfolio strategy  will serve as a strategic partner connecting many facets of the organization with a goal of supporting and contributing to the development and implementation of integrated marketing solutions for stakeholders that leverage the company’s marketing portfolio of projects. It is incumbent on this role to gain the decisions, support and results needed to advance enterprise strategic agendas within the marketing and corporate affairs space. In this role, you’ll be a member of a strategic, multi-functional portfolio team, partnering closely with the team’s senior leader and other program leaders to drive objectives forward and create space for the creative services and marketing and corporate affairs teams to thrive. The candidate is a leader and creative problem solver and an expert at building authentic relationships, improving team cohesion, understanding and aligning to a strategic direction, and enabling teams to stay focused on delivering world-class solutions that profoundly improve patients’ lives.

As the creative services team’s point person for certain marketing campaigns, the manager of creative portfolio strategy is a vital conduit between creative services, the multi-functional portfolio team and project stakeholders. She / he actively communicates the team’s services, developing creative briefs and crafting proposals that define capabilities, scope, and resources. The manager of creative portfolio strategy maintains an open line of communication with creative services leadership and is responsible for keeping the team organized and informed of marketing campaign projects and the team’s roles and responsibilities for such projects.


  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the portfolio team’s senior leader and other program leads
  • Partner directly with market and corporate-based teams to continuously improve marketing campaigns and initiatives and determine and articulate priorities and work to be done
  • Focused on marketing campaigns, maintain a holistic view of the work facilitated through the portfolio team and work happening on the creative services team in order to make connections, identify opportunities, and ensure alignment to strategic priorities
  • Synthesize portfolio team and client direction, marketing strategy, cultural/market trends, and consumer insights to create compelling creative platforms that focus thinking and spark creative ideation
  • Oversee creative strategy development and management of scaled marketing efforts for state-wide market brands comprised of HCA Healthcare facilities, physician practices and urgent care centers
  • Collaborate on developing strategically-led creative ideas for multi-dimensional campaigns that combine portfolio assets to create creative proposals that align with stakeholder needs
  • Embrace, advocate for, and evangelize the impact of creative solutions and an experiential mindset
  • Coordinate creative services creative consultations, creative brief / proposal preparation and review meetings with creative services leadership, providing feedback based on portfolio team input with the goal of executing on portfolio team objectives
  • Drive momentum by advising on team direction and alignment
  • Advocate for the prioritization of initiatives that serve our customers and drive business and marketing objectives
  • Leverage knowledge of enterprise goals and business objectives to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and effective proposals for stakeholders
  • Cultivate and maximize situational awareness by building relationships and fostering open communication across all levels of the team
  • Provide strategic support to colleagues across the enterprise, including creating objectives, scoping work efforts, creating alignment and steering projects to completion
  • Stay connected with the other portfolio managers, partnering to define best practices, collaborate on shared problems, take ownership of horizontal processes, and create consistency in our marketing organization. 
  • Serve as the creative services team representative on the portfolio team to identify client needs, lead creative services briefing sessions, develop response proposals ensuring content ideas are purposeful, on-brand, and on-strategy, and pitch ideas succinctly and effectively as appropriate
  • Keep vice president of creative services informed of proposed creative approach, proposals, project progress, client feedback and status of tier 1 projects


  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory. 


  • 7 years experience in a strategic account or project role for a creative deparment is mandtory for a qualified candidate.
  • 3-5 years project management platform experience.
  • Sigma Greenbelt certified preferred.
