Job Summary and Qualifications

Serve as a key figure in the support of assigned program(s) by serving as primary resource for Program Management. Support the Program Manager in the development  and management of the program(s), including but not limited to: trial design, programmatic metrics, and scientific collaboration with the designated Program Manager at Sarah Cannon, academic institutional partners, funding partners, and internal Sarah Cannon cross-functional teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as support figure to the assigned program(s) and Program Manager(s) by providing scientific, logistical, and administrative support
  • Tracks study status and update program-related reports, including clinical trial dashboards among other documents, as appropriate
  • Assist the assigned Program Manager in thecreation of study-specific tools to assist site staff
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, tracking, and reporting of various disease-specific program needs and related decisions
  • Retrieves information and generates reports from databases; perform report analysis with support of Program Manager
  • Maintain a high degree of awareness of the current scientific state and advancements in relation to the program by attendance at relevant symposium, scientific meetings and workshops, and review of key journals
  • Draft and distribute meeting agendas and minutes, as requested
  • Plan, coordinate, and/or host teleconferences, as requested
  • Independent follow-up on action items related to assigned program(s)
  • Ad-hoc projects as requested from Program Manager(s) and/or Physician Leaders
  • Maintain study review/approval documentation as appropriate
  • Assist the assigned Program Manager in researching, editing, and submitting Letters Of Intent (LOIs) for future clinical trials
  • May perform scientific literature searches and draft high-level summary/outline of information retrieved
  • May assist in the creation of scientific slide decks for oncology physician & clinical staff audience
  • Assist with trial site selection activities and documentation

Education:

Bachelor Degree required; Master's Degree preferred

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of clinical research experience
  • Experience with protocol writing and study design is preferred

Certification or License:

  • Research Professional Certification-CCRP or exam preferred
  • Certified or licensed in individual field of study preferred
