The Director of Quality is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided at the hospital. The Director of Quality engages with senior facility leadership and is responsible for the operations of the quality management department and other assigned departments. The reporting structure is determined by the Chief Executive Officer of each facility with guidance from the Division Vice President of Quality (DVPQ). However, most QM directors will report to the Facility Chief Medical Officer (FCMO), if available, with a dotted line to the DVPQ. This position works closely with the Medical Staff and Hospital Leaders.

I. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: | Current and active RN License or certification in a healthcare related professional field in the state the RN practices.
Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) on hire or within 6 months – required. Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) – preferred but not required. Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) on hire or within 3 years. |
B. Education: | Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or health care related field required. Master’s degree preferred. |
C. Experience: | Minimum of 5 – 8 years progressive experience in healthcare quality management, including individuals and teams, including Joint Commission review and accreditation processes. |
