Osceola Regional Medical Center, located in beautiful Kissimmee, Florida, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care.

What you will do in this role
You will be responsible for providing safe and appropriate nursing care within HCA’s mission and values statements, the Florida Nurse Practice Act, and carrying out physician’s orders.
You will be demonstrating your advanced nursing knowledge, skills, and abilities in MedSurg for our post-surgical patients who need to stay for a short period of time to recover or a lengthier stay for additional medical care and constant monitoring.
This is 34-bed unit located in the middle of the entire hospital from all of the towers so it will become very busy with traffic flow, and the unit is also surrounded by the ICU’s and the ER waiting room. The patient to nurse ratio is 6:1.
You will be using wall-mounted computers in the patient’s private room for your documentation, and collaborating with our team of patient care technicians and supporting clinical staff to provide the best patient care experience and outcomes.
Qualifications you will need for this role
Current active license in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
ACLS certification is required within six (6) months of your start date.
NIHSS certification is a plus.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Nursing diploma or ASN is required and BSN is preferred.
Minimum 1 year current MedSurg work experience in an acute care hospital setting is strongly preferred.
