SCHEDULE: Full-time


 

Histology Technician
 Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM (Occational Saturday)
Location: Medical City Dallas Hospital

Medical City offers a full-service adult hospital and pediatric hospital, with separate adult and pediatric emergency rooms, as well as numerous outpatient clinics and diagnostic centers. Histology Technician Job Summary:
Under direct supervision of Histology Medical Director, performs routine histology procedures in the laboratory including receipt, grossing, processing, embedding, cutting specimens and preparing routine and special stains. Responsible also for excellent customer service, accurate filing of slides/blocks,
equipment maintenance and operation.

Qualifications

Histology Technician Job Requirements:

  • High School, Associate’s degree preferred
  • Positive patient and specimen identification, microtomy, accurate filing of slides and blocks
  • High volume, fast pace, works with formalin and xylene
