Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Director of Technical Services you will be responsible for the development and delivery of all products and services within the division Technical Services organization. You will take a leadership role in setting service vision and direction, ensures standards and security policies are maintained and systems and solutions are compatible with HCA Healthcare standard information systems architecture, tools, policies and procedures. You will also manage division-specific technical implementation projects, and creates plans and implementation strategies to meet the needs of division end users.

You will lead financial management activities and will be responsible for personnel management within the Technical Services area. You will ensure performance management, sponsors career development activities, and leads efforts to implement and develop core competencies, processes and disciplines. Proactive resource planning is completed based on anticipated demand.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • You will ensure service delivery for all key areas of the Technical Service organization (division server administration and support, network engineering, network security, voice services (Telecommunications) and technical analysis).
  • Taking a leadership role in setting service direction, ensures standards and security policies are maintained and systems and solutions are compatible with HCA standard information systems architecture, tools, policies and procedures.
  • You will develop support plans and implementation strategies to meet the IT needs of division end-users.
  • You will lead personnel management activities, including performance management and career development activities.
  • Interacting with corporate, division and facility-level leadership teams, as needed, as it relates to technical implementations and technical support issues.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Requires strong understanding of Service Desk, desktop and server support, networking, network security, computer operations and customer service principles.
  • Requires a clear understanding of computer systems and corresponding support requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills in budgeting, planning and policy maintenance and development desirable.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree required in Information Technology or healthcare.

EXPERIENCE

  •  7 or more years of experience in an IT environment in one or more of the following areas: IT product development, technology implementation, IT service management, IT project management
  • Direct supervision and staff development experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability in multiple technology disciplines
